Parking on or off street is a major pain point. Nearly 30-60% of all traffic congestion is due to motorists looking for parking spots while circling their destination. This unnecessary travel results in wasted time and fuel, increasing emissions and pollution.
We are developing the next generation of truly smart parking meters, and accompanying mobile and cloud-based enterprise software, where all functionality including real-time occupancy detection, traffic routing, payments, reservations and enforcement is handled via A.I. and computer vision. Colored beacons incorporated into the meters communicate their status to passing traffic so that nearby spots can be temporarily reserved through our app, resulting in efficient traffic routing, cutting down on unnecessary travel.
Princeton is hosting the very first implementation of our technology on a small scale. We are now taking participants for the pilot through our website. There will be up to ten parking spots in five locations in downtown Princeton (see map on the right). The first location will be in Palmer Sq. and more spots will be added gradually. Parking is available for FREE for the participants, which will be added from a waiting list.
Our Merchant Pay™ program allows participating merchants and local businesses in Princeton to sponsor parking for their patrons during the pilot study. This service is provided at no cost to either party for the pilot. Please contact us for more information on how to become a sponsor.
